The new BMW 3 Series (E36) had an unparalleled model diversity. After the debut of the 3 Series Sedan in 1990 and the 3 Series Coupé in 1991, a new convertible followed in 1993. The profile of the convertible and the coupé was dominated by the extended and flattened engine hood and created a very elegant and sporty effect. From 1994, a four-cylinder model was supplied, the 318i Convertible. It remained in the product range until 1999.
The E36 Cabriolet was produced in large numbers in many different countries around the world. South Africa was one of the most prolific suppliers of RHD 3 series cars for the rest of the world and this particular car was assembled here.
This car still wears its original Boston Green Metallic paint and original Tan leather interior. The soft top is dark green and although slightly faded is still in excellent condition. It has electric seats, windows and soft top and everything works as it should. The car has a full set of books and spare keys. This car has never been messed with or modified in anyway. It retains its original 'bottle cap' rims with new tyres. We recently had the car serviced and it has a new windshield fitted.
This 30 year old classic Beemer is the perfect daily driving classic car that is reliable and practical.
